Survivor is a rock-climbing brand from Austin Texas. A maker of chalk and bags for climbers.

A few years ago, I bought a waist bag to be used for dog treats while on my beach walk with the pup. With no intention or thought that that single purchase would blossom into a relationship with Survivor, a cool, awesome brand. I posted the bag on social media and tagged them, thanking them for the quick delivery.

I proposed to shoot their products for my portfolio, and they could use them for marketing. I never thought I’d get a return email, but a few weeks later, Survivor sent their entire line and trusted me to get shots for them. I gathered some climbing friends of mine and off we went to Apple Valley to hit some walls.
